TXY – LARGE LANDSCAPE
INSTALLATION: THREE LANDSCAPES (108 × 280 CM EACH) AND THREE SCULPTURES SHAPED AS THE LETTERS “T,” “X,” AND “Y” (APPROX. 280 CM); CHARCOAL ON WOODEN STRUCTURES COVERED WITH PRINTED FABRIC, AND WOODEN SCULPTURES.

The installation adopts a triangular layout integrating three large-scale landscapes (280 × 108 cm) and three sculptures shaped as the letters “T,” “X,” and “Y” (approximately 280 cm in height).
The landscapes are executed in charcoal on a wooden structure covered with printed fabric and depict three border regions, observed from different perspectives: Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Each landscape functions as a fragment of territory marked by history, surveillance, and geopolitical division.
The sculptures, made of wood, take the form of letters belonging to the Totalitarian ABC-dary project—a symbolic alphabet constructed from signs of control and territorial demarcation.
Although the installation is inspired by a specific territory and historical moment—the border divisions imposed by wars and the Iron Curtain—the work expands its reflection toward the notion of freedom in a universal sense.
